Design agencies predict 2007 to be a year of mixed fortunes

Nearly half of all design agencies are looking forward to a successful 2007 others feel differently according to a survey by Agency Software Worldwide.
The New Year will bring cheer for some, but for others, it looks like being a less certain year as 35% felt that the new year will be a tough year. A further 18% think that the New Year will be on a par with 2006, and less than 5% believe they will see a decline.
Agency Software Worldwide’s, international marketing director Luisa Pollini-Kommu said: “This is a more positive outlook than has been the case previously, but it does reflect the continuing uncertainty in the sector and indeed in the broader UK economy. Interestingly, our survey, which also includes the advertising world, shows a more consistently positive outlook among advertising agencies. Many agencies will start the year with a positive outlook and it will be interesting to see how that confidence develops as the year goes on.”
Agency Software Worldwide believes that the key to building success is to remove some of the uncertainties that can weaken an agency’s performance. Its recently launched software, Paprika, has been developed to 'increase creative agencies ability to control and manage its business, reducing risk and uncertainty', say Agency Software Worldwide.
