Meet the team!

Lisa joined us back in 2017 and since then has been overseeing projects for international clients including new implementations and bespoke developments. Lisa owns a beautiful Spanish horse called Gitano and a French Bulldog called Nellie. In her spare time she can be seen riding or walking across the Kent Countryside with one or both of them!

What do you like about working at Paprika?

Obviously the people, we are all awesome! We are lucky enough to have a fantastic product that is always evolving and we are all a passionate bunch that share the same values in striving to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Tell us more about your job role…

My primary job role is to support the Implementation team in their delivery of providing new clients with their datafile(s), and setting up appropriate timelines to deliver training. Once the sales team hand over the new client documentation, and the Customer Care team has sent them their welcome pack, I will make contact and arrange what we call a Planning Meeting.

This involves a lengthy discussion to gather the necessary information and requirements to build a datafile. From there, any further relevant discussions, demonstrations, workshops and training will be identified, and the client will receive their individual plan of events to support them through their Go Live and beyond. In addition to the above, I have specific clients that I look after on a day to day basis. This may involve having regular catch up calls, updating them on any development work that is being carried out for them and planning any upgrades to their systems. I also arrange and resource any adhoc training and consultancy work that comes through our Helpdesk or Customer Care teams.

What do you enjoy the most in your role?

I am one of those people that gets bored very easily, so what I like most about my job is that it's varied and no two days are ever the same. I can honestly say that I have made some great friends at Paprika, both in my team and in the company as a whole - so it's always good to talk to colleagues.

What is the most challenging part of your job or day?

The fact that I have come from a non-accounting background can sometimes present its challenges!!

What’s been your best experience working here so far?

The job I had previous to this one totally destroyed my confidence, but from day 1 at Paprika, people really believed in me and wanted to listen to what I had to say. I had only been at the company a matter of weeks and was asked to Project Manage the delivery of a series of quite complex reports. I got involved with many aspects, from planning, data gathering, testing, delivery & feedback and surprised myself at how well I coped, and how much I understood.

It allowed me to get to know different teams within the company, understand our internal structure and identify who to go to for help on specific queries. As a relatively new starter, people got to know me and saw that I was happy to roll my sleeves up and get stuck in where needed. For me personally, it was such an enjoyable experience as no one ever doubted me and from there can pinpoint it as a time that my confidence started to repair.

What/who inspires you most and why?

My Grandmother. She lost her mother as a 4 year old and grew up with a horrible stepmother. Her father was put into a concentration camp during WW2 and she took her little sister and trekked to Auschwitz. She tried to sweet talk the guards into letting him go, of course to no avail but she was so brave! Nothing phased her, she didn't care what people did to her, what was expected of her or what people thought. She just did what she thought was right to protect her loved ones - she was loyal and brave to her very last breath. If I can be half of the woman she was, i'd consider that i've done well in life.

What’s your favourite saying?

Everything will be ok in the end, if it's not ok, then it's not the end.

I had twins at 16!
